Typical day & meal at École M

Morning

8h30 - 9h00 : Progressive and personalized welcome of the children (for the first arrivals, free games, drawing, reading...)

9h00 - 9h15 : Gathering of all students for the beginning of the day (songs, rituals, body awakening...)

9h15 - 11h45: Classroom activities 

• A teacher offers workshops in small groups (5-6 students), working on the basic skills related to the "theme" of the moment.

• The other teacher accompanies the children in independent activities or in pairs. The children choose their activity among those proposed. 

• All children participate in a motricity time.

Mid-morning recreation in the square near the school.

The morning ends with a regrouping during which the students can tell what they did. 

meridian break

11:45 - 12:30 : Lunch (more information)

Lunch in small group classes, with both teachers. Students participate by setting the table. They wash their hands and settle in mixed age groups. This encourages the little ones to be more independent, and the older ones to help the younger ones if necessary.

The meal is a moment of relaxation and exchange. Students are encouraged to taste everything, but are not forced to eat. They clear and help clean the room.

12h30 - 13h45 : Nap / Quiet time

A la carte nap time for children who need it, with no age limit, and quiet activities for those who don't sleep.

afternoon

13h45 - 15h40: Classroom activities, accompanied by the teachers. Students who wake up from their nap join the group slowly, for independent or pair activities.

Same organization as in the morning. The afternoon being a hollow moment in the children's attention, we propose activities of consolidation rather than discovery.

15h40h - 16h00: Staggered departure of children who do not stay for extra-curricular time. The teachers pass on to the parents what happened during the day.
