How to give your child a bilingual education in Paris?

1. Bilingual Schools

More and more parents are recognizing the benefits of bilingual schooling and are therefore choosing this type of establishment.

In the Paris region, about thirty preschools offer a French-English environment. These are various types of establishments (Montessori, international, etc.) with often high but relatively diverse fees. You will find a list at the end of the article, classified by tuition fees.

2. English Discovery Workshops for Children

Another way for children to learn English is through English classes designed for 3 to 6-year-olds. These workshops, often play-based, offer a second option to help young children get used to the sounds of a new language.

In Paris, many courses of this type exist with varied approaches and activities, such as Le Bus Anglais, Kids&Us, Kiddies Club, or Les Petits Bilingues. The association DULALA (D’Une LAngue à L’Autre) offers play-based bilingual workshops in many languages, particularly for children whose parents speak a language other than French at home.

3. English-speaking childcare

Finally, an alternative solution to expose children to a foreign language is to have them looked after by an English-speaking person (if the goal is to teach them English!). Specialized childcare agencies exist, such as be my nounou, Nanny Agency, Baby Speaking, Babylangues, or Eveil bilingue. It is also possible to directly hire an au pair.
